PICKLED CHILI

Pickling is a great way to preserve food, and pickled foods have a delicious aroma. Pickled chilies are also delicious, and if you pickle them in a jar, they also decorate the kitchen.

Pickling is easy, you only need chilies, vinegar, sugar and salt, and pickled chilies are great for tapas, tacos or chopped into a tartar sauce.

INGREDIENTS

Fresh chilies
Approximately 3 deciliters of apple cider vinegar
Approximately 3 tbsp. cane sugar
About 3 tsp. salt
possibly Atamon (preservative)

HOW TO DO IT

Wash the chilies. You can pickle them whole or cut them into slices. The pickle liquid just needs to be able to get into the chili. Pickling the chilies as they are is great, but then you have to cut off the tops or poke holes in the chilies.

Scald your pickle jar, rinse it with a little Atamon if necessary and add your chilies to the jar. Boil vinegar, sugar and salt, and pour the brine over the chilies in your jar. Close the jar.

This is how you get delicious pickled chilies that will decorate your kitchen. The jar should be kept cool, and the chilies are ready to eat after soaking in the vinegar solution for a few hours.

PS Remember, food must taste like something!
