Wind forces
There are a multitude of chilies on the market, and the varieties can burn lovingly or uncontrollably. The American pharmacist Scoville (b. 1865) was a pioneer and wanted to scientificize the level of strength of chilies and thus capsaicin, so he launched a method to measure the burning chemistry in chilies; what is now called Scoville Heat Units.
But, but, but. Admiral Sir Francis Beaufort (b. 1774) was also the pioneer and initiator of the simple but great seafaring scale, the Beaufort scale. Beaufort is the inspiration for the way Chili Klaus ranks the wind strength of chilies, so you can read the wind strength of various chilies via the wind strength scale.
